What is Stedra?

Stedra is an iOS app that helps people transition off GLP-1 weight loss medications (like semaglutide and tirzepatide) and maintain their progress long-term. It is not a diet app, calorie counter, or medical device. It is a transition companion grounded in published clinical research.

Is Stedra a medical app?

No. Stedra is a wellness and habit-tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The educational content is based on published clinical research. Always consult your healthcare provider before making changes to your medication.

Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. When we say your data stays on your device, it is architecturally, verifiably true. There is no server to breach.

What's included in the free version?

The free tier includes core tracking: weight logging, hydration tracking, one active habit (Protein First), and strength session logging. You can see the Timeline overview and access Settings.

What does Premium unlock?

Premium gives you access to the full Transition Intelligence Engine: trajectory comparison against published research, cross-signal correlations, the early warning system, all 8 habits with multiple active simultaneously, and the Doctor Visit Summary PDF generator.

How do I manage my subscription?

Your subscription is managed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel: open your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your Stedra purchase to request a refund through Apple's standard process.

Does Stedra work with Apple Health?

Yes. With your permission, Stedra can read and write weight and hydration data to Apple HealthKit. This keeps your Stedra data in sync with the Health app. You can enable or revoke this at any time in iOS Settings.

I haven't stopped my medication yet. Can I still use Stedra?

Absolutely. Stedra is designed to be used before, during, and after your transition. The Preparation phase helps you build a behavioral foundation while your medication still provides support. You can set a target stop date and the app will guide you through.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual entries within the app at any time. To remove all data, uninstall Stedra from your device. Since we don't store your data on any server, uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything.

What research is Stedra based on?

Stedra's trajectory curves, regain estimates, and educational content are drawn from published, peer-reviewed clinical research including meta-analyses from JAMA Network Open, Obesity Reviews, The New England Journal of Medicine, and the STEP and SURMOUNT clinical trial programs.

Is Stedra affiliated with Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly?

No. Stedra is not affiliated with or endorsed by Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, or any pharmaceutical company. Ozempic® and Wegovy® are trademarks of Novo Nordisk. Mounjaro® and Zepbound® are trademarks of Eli Lilly.

Troubleshooting

The app isn't showing my correct phase

Phases are calculated from your stop date. Go to Settings > Edit Stop Date and verify your target or actual stop date is correct. The phase will update automatically.

HealthKit data isn't syncing

Make sure Stedra has permission to read and write Health data. Go to iOS Settings > Health > Data Access > Stedra and enable all categories. Then reopen Stedra.

My subscription isn't recognized

Try restoring your purchase: go to Settings within the app and tap Restore Purchases. If the issue persists, contact us at support@stedra.app.
